Available Sizes

Available in industry standard mouth diameters of 30, 50, 60, 75 and 100 cm. Each net is available in customary length to mouth ratios of 3:1, 4:1, 5:1 and 6:1. Although the sizes listed above are considered standard, SEA-GEAR Model 9000 Plankton Nets can be custom manufactured to any diameter or length.

Straight Conical

SEA-GEAR Model 9000 Plankton Nets are designed for the safe and secure capture of marine biological specimens. Each net is carefully manufactured using only the finest and strongest synthetic materials available. Precision woven Nylon or Polyester filtering cloth is used for straining. The net mouth collar, optional belly band and cod end collar are made with heavy weight high performance fabrics resistant to abrasions, tears, and scuffs. Extremely strong red, white, and blue webbing join the net together. All seams are quadruple stitched. Brass spur grommets are equally spaced around the net mouth collar to facilitate lashing the net to the mouth ring. SEA-GEAR’S unique adjustable cod end collar allows each net to accept a variety of cod end devices.
